Luis Enrique questions if Premier League truly is ‘the best in the world’

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has questioned the Premier League’s status as the “best in the world” ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg at Arsenal.
Luis Enrique’s side have beaten newly-crowned English champions Liverpool and Aston Villa on their way to the final four of Europe’s elite competition.
Asked if that would help PSG at Arsenal, Luis Enrique said: “I don’t know, maybe it is a question for Mr Arteta.
“In terms of confidence, it is very positive เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง for us. We won the match against Liverpool and Liverpool won the Premier League this year. But that doesn’t mean anything because every match is different.
“Everybody speaks about the Premier League like it is the best league in the world. I don’t know if I agree or not. But we are full of confidence and looking forward to playing the semi-final.”
The four teams left in the competition each represent a different nation, with Arsenal as the English, PSG the French, Barcelona the Spanish and Inter Milan the Italian.
But it was the Premier League clubs that secured the first extra space in next season’s Champions League through performances in UEFA competitions in this campaign, with LaLiga later getting the other.
Last season, it was the Bundesliga and Serie A that were top performers in Europe, according to UEFA’s coefficient.
