SOLITARY Web Series Production: DAY 2
The SOLITARY web series, currently being filmed by Think Ten Media Group in Portland, Oregon, completed its second day of production yesterday. Producer Jen Fischer, who is on location with director and husband Ramon Hamilton, provided updates from the set to LOUD GREEN BIRD.

Today, we moved inside “the cell” — the cell we’re using for the Solitary Confinement Unit. We had to build the bed as the location we’re at did not have an isolation cell with a bed. Since, the cell is obviously pretty small — we often had to get creative with things.
I also love how focused on sound [the] recordist [Michael Elliot] is.
Today, we shot one of the more intense scenes for the film so rehearsals were very important and I caught some moments of our lead actor, William Brown.
Adam Lobaugh also expanded beyond his normal film set duties [as a grip] by catching a beetle for one of the scenes, in which food has been left out and attracted a little bug friend. Adam nicknamed the beetle “Celly.” It was surprisingly difficult to get “Celly” to cooperate.
“The View From Inside the Bubble/Crafty” is a photo I took from the room that is often called “The Bubble” in prisons. It’s where the guards/correctional officers typically are — it’s their home base, so to speak. They can see out, but no one can see in. They also have a monitor there to view multiple areas of the prison and control all of the lights from “the bubble,” and have an intercom system.
During the shoot, “the bubble” is where we have craft services.
